Another question for mailbag since auction already happened. Would love to hear your thoughts on the relative importance of low economy in the PP compared to wickets in the PP in t20. A guy like Trent Boult, for example, has taken surprisingly few PP wickets when you look at the numbers, but has always maintained low PP economy. As batting strategy further prioritizes going bonkers in the PP, would not having bowlers who can keep the run rate down in that phase become more important in lockstep?
1.Do you think WPL's rule of playing 5 OS players in playing XI provided that 5th OS player is from an associate nation will turn out good if implemented in IPL?
2. Is there a way where you can say whether or not a franchise/ national team is using analytics to come to a particular decision from a lay person's POV?
